For companies that want their own IP resources, independence from a single provider and multi-homing capability, an LIR partner (such as OpticNet) offers sponsoring-org: resources remain in the client's name, and RIPE administration is handled by the LIR.

- ASN (Autonomous System Number) is required when a company announces its own IP prefixes in BGP and works with multiple transit providers (multi-homing), operates a data centre or hosting services, or wants full control over routing. OpticNet, as an LIR RIPE member, can sponsor ASN and IPv4/IPv6 PI allocation for clients.
